Role: Lead UX Designer
In collaboration with key stakeholders and users, a standard persona was developed to articulate distinct user journeys and pain points. The persona - Stephen - needs simpler update sharing and deeper team visibility to better support colleagues.
Objective: Spearhead the redesign of "Squad Central," a custom interface that empowers Nike's internal teams to effectively manage projects, foster connections, and seamlessly integrate with other internal tools like Jira.
Building upon the current system/infrastructure, a centralized platform was developed to enhance collaboration and address unmet needs and challenges. The final design features three core components: a Dashboard for comprehensive visibility, a Team Page for detailed insights, and a "Digital Dash Taxonomy" for an organized team directory.

The final design, evolved through an iterative process, provides a personalized view for team members, offering an integrated overview of projects, contacts, links, and updates. Improvements include: direct visibility of associated squads, a bell icon for notifications, a "Digital Dash" access icon, and a placeholder avatar to encourage new user image uploads.

The Dashboard provides immediate access to specific team pages, as illustrated below. Users can select their squad name, like "J-Long's squad," to view progress, modify team details, and manage members (with the proper authorization).

The revamped "Digital Dash Taxonomy" page, advancing from a basic team list, now integrates multiple functionalities to enhance user experience. Accessible via the Dashboard or squad pages, it features new icons for team searching and filtering, direct email functionalities, data download, notification viewing, Jira integration for project management, and live updates.
Results:
The iterative design process culminated in a user-centered interface that significantly improved team collaboration and information access. Key outcomes include:
Simplified access: Teams now find tools and information in one place, cutting out platform hopping.
Personalized focus: Individual dashboards give quick views of projects, contacts, and updates, saving valuable time.
Boosted collaboration: Full "squad" visibility sparks awareness of other teams, promoting knowledge sharing and teamwork.
Real time awareness: Improved notifications keep teams informed and aligned.
